'I had my first experience with the weekend Dim Sum and I went with long time patrons and everything I had tried, and there was a lot, was exceptionally above what I thought was good food at other locations. I'll be going back this weekend again! Keep up the good work!'

'First of all whoever compared the Asian food to that of the food in Asia is a completely unreasonable expectation. You cannot go to Asia and come back to Canada and expect the food to be comparable there is no comparison. That being said I have been going here for years between my friends, family and myself we have tried almost every dish on the menu. I have tried a large number of the other Asian restaurants in the city and almost every Asian restaurant in "China Town" and I use that term loosely. The food has always been fresh as authentic as it is going to get in Ottawa which is more than I can say for other places in the city. This place is bar none best in the city. Perhaps these people are used to Asian food that has been sitting out for good knows how long and drenched in sugary sauces. This is not how most authentic Asian food tastes that is "Americanized and Canadianized Asian food. Huge difference from the Authentic stuff.'

'Well.... Looking at the reviews, people just don't get ethnic cuisine. This is a real chinese restauant owned by a real chinese family. Some of you should just stick to Red Lobster or Mc Donalds. Yes service is a bit rough, decor is outdated but who cares? The food is authentic and usually very good. Those who are overly critical of this restaurant should probably go to the chinese counter at the Mall's food court. Period.'

'Just did take out. Chicken with Cashew/mixed vegetables, not good at all. Stale chicken, tasted old...ruined our lunch. Ordered dim sum, it was ok. Going to that restaurant for 14 years, it's a real shame. Will never order take out again.'

'Not so bad. Will still go again. The dim sum was above average level in Ottawa. However, the tea was not very good. You can't really expect any good Chinese food in Canada (well, I heard there's some good ones in Toronto). I lived in China, Hong-Kong and Taiwan for totally a decade, and the food there was amazing! If you live in Canada, don't give high expectation to Chinese food.'

'Ordered from here tonight despite reading some negative reviews for takeout and it was HORRIBLE. The one Pro I have is that the egg rolls were delicious and my canned Pepsi was good (Although i'm not sure they should get credit for the Pepsi but i'm trying to be up-beat) I ordered a crispy duck homestyle and it was easily the worst duck I have ever had. I paid 15 dollars for essentially a plate of bones with very little meat on them. It was borderline as to whether or not it should even be called duck - it certainly didn't taste like any duck I've ever had. All the flavoring of the dish was put directly onto the bone and the meat besides being nonexistent wasn't cooked very well. Hubby got some sort of garlic beef or something and ate his. He said it was average at best and liked the egg rolls more than anything else. I ended up pitching mine in the trash. Everyone here says they have hit or miss days but I won't take the chance again, certainly not at the cost. And just for an extra two cents, rice should definitely come with the entrees considering the cost.'

'Grabbed a takeout order of Cantonese Chow Mein (117) and egg roll (17). Shrimps tasted good and the noodle sauce was delicious. Good choice if you want a quick try on Chinese food. Egg roll is just average so I rather try the spring roll next time.'

'Poor clients. What do you expect to get from a Chinese restaurant? Spark and clean? People, you have to be in the mud to go there and enjoy understanding where you are getting into. It may not be the best, but you get what you sow. If you treat them bad or with disrespect, they will treat you worst. Smile, be gentle and even if they pass besides you with a tower of dirty plates, just do not look and keep enjoying your plate. I've had there good and one or two not so good days, but I still go there. It is not the cordon blue, so adapt yourself and enjoy.'

'Worst takeout cuisine ever, rice was lumpy and luke warm as well the chow mien, chicken balls chicken dry, and springroll full of onions, if this authentic they sure eat bad tasting food.'

'Take out experience didn't not make my day at lunch - Shrimp imperial was forgetable/there was like 5 shrimp and sauce was boring - hot & sour soup size are mini - spring roll was greasy and lacking stuffing - small rice was not even included - all that for $22.95 - not impressed, won't take out again. Ingredients were fresh and dishes not overkilled with salt like most chinese restaurant in Ottawa. Service was fast and professional - would probably try dining in instead.'

'Me and my wife went in for dinner. We ordered one of the combination platters. The food was mediocre. The service was quite sub par. They constantly messed up our orders, they never came and refilled our drinks, and they quickly gave us the bill when we were only half done our meal as if to rush us out. We also saw the owner being rude to another couple. We are recurring customers but after experiencing bad service the past few times we will not be attending any more.'
